This week was filled with big steps for me. Kyle is an awesome individual, but part of what makes him so awesome is he pushes people to do things their not comfortable with. There were a couple of instances this week when he asked me to decide on exercises for individuals, or to take over training a particular athlete. This was so scary for me! I've given some fitness counsel before, but not in such a formal and professional setting, and never really in the context of a titled position.

I may not have enjoyed being put on the spot at the time, but it ended up being really good and I learned a lot from the experience. It may have been uncomfortable for me, but one of my favorite quotes says "get comfortable with uncomfortable". Once I stopped dragging my feet and put myself out there, it all turned out quite well and Kyle was even willing to help me and suggest ways to improve. He doesn't seem that old, but he has a lot of experience, and I want to take every opportunity to glean as much as I can from that.
